Connor took part in this years Yukon Quest Canada 450 mile race from Whitehorse.
Even before the race started, there were a few teams withdrawn, due to the bad weather in Whitehorse.
Connor got off to a great start but found the trail hard going as glare ice became a real problem.
The dogs and sled were slding sideways at times and Connor made the hard decision over 100 miles into the race to scratch in order to ensure his dogs safety.
Connor will now be putting his energy into his upcoming rookie Iditarod.
